Course Objectives: By completing this course, participants should be able to:

Explain the rigor and relevance framework and provide examples of teaching in each of the quadrants.
Understand what is meant by a "Gap Analysis" by comparing one or more of your course's content and skills to the recommendations provided in the Model Core Curriculum. .
Develop and analyze labs/activities that clearly lie in the D quadrant and write accompanying assessments for those experiences.
Develop and analyze a long term project in which learning takes place in the D Quadrant.

Assignment Scoring and Grading:

Assignment 1: Gap Analysis (12 points)

Assignment 2: Quadrant D Activity 1 (31 points)

Assignment 3: Quadrant D Activity 2 (31 points)

Assignment 4: Long Term Quadrant D Project (point value to be determined)

Attendance/Participation: (15 points, 1 point per class)

Grades will be assigned on a traditional percentage bases.
